Should you have a pre-wedding photoshoot?
So, you've booked your venue and your wedding photographer and there is so much to do before the big day, have you got time to have a pre-wedding photoshoot as well? You don't really like having your photo taken so what's the point?
If you don't feel comfortable in front of the camera then there is a huge point to meeting up with your wedding photographer before the wedding. It's simply to get the feel of how your photographer works and to make sure you relax in front of the camera. Your photographer will give you a few ideas on how to look natural, a bit slimmer (we all like that!) and you can get used to being photographed. You can also bring your pets who may not be able to come along on your big day so they are included in your wedding photos in a non stressful way.
I always do a pre-wedding shoot in an outdoor setting, we have a lot of fun, I find out what you do and don't like about being photographed. My job as your wedding photographer is to make sure your wedding day is as perfect as it possibly can be, so I also ask loads of questions about the day as we walk and take photos.
After the session which is usually less than an hour, I take you off to somewhere nice for a drink and a more detailed chat about your wedding plans. Everything from who your bridesmaids and best man (or men!) are, to what colour scheme you've got planned, all the little details that I can make sure I get on the day that will add to your album of memories.
Please message me for more details about a free pre-wedding shoot when you book your wedding package with me, I'd love to hear from you xx
Here are a few photos from some of my pre-wedding photography in the Cotswolds, Somerset and beyond.
